In February the THAT Group presented new proposals to redevelop this site to provide a range of retail units, offices and cafe/restaurant space and public realm improvements shown in the computer image (CGI).
On the 10th January 2018, a Planning Committee approved the outline plan for the demolition and redevelopment of the north-east quarter of the Broadmead shopping area.
Facing Newfoundland Circus, Vastint Hospitality propose to construct a stepped seven-storey, 214-bedroom hotel at 55-83 Newfoundland Road from modular units.

The Society supports residential use and the removal of the unsympathetic extensions behind the main building. The Society regrets that it cannot support the third proposed scheme.
Kersfield Developments have submitted a full planning application to redevelop and reuse the now vacant site. The project will conserve and reuse the Grade II* listed Redland Court in a residential conversion.
On Friday 24th November 2017 we held the initial meeting at Ashton Court Mansion. Over 100 attended and the overall impression was of energy and enthusiasm. All present wanted to breathe new life into the Mansion and to give it a secure future.

The University has applied for outline planning permission for a new science/engineering led Campus. The Council has agreed to demolish the former Post Office Parcels Sorting Office to enable the University to build on the former Cattle Market site.
