Design Awards

For many years, the Civic Society has made awards recognising good quality design – buildings and improvements to the public realm. The assessments are made by a small panel of volunteers from among Society members, normally comprising a mix of those with relevant professional expertise and “lay” members.

There are three eligibility criteria for projects to be considered: they must have been completed by the end of the preceding calendar year (eg by end 2026 for the 2027 awards); should be located within the City of Bristol; and be visible from a public place.

If you have sites in mind for future Awards, please send nominations by email to awards@bristolcivicsociety.org.uk. Ideally, nominations should include both the address of the project and contact details for the owner and/or the project designer/manager. The deadline for nominations is the end of February.
