The Society welcomes the redevelopment of this underused and unattractive site. We support the proposal but still have reservations about some of the design elements.

The Civic Society welcomes and supports the proposals to extend the current visitor attraction at the SS Great Britain into the adjacent Albion Dockyard. The proposals will deliver a vibrant mixed-use scheme, providing an enhanced visitor attraction.

The Civic Society continues to support in principle the revised plans for this site on the south-west edge of the city, but we continue to object to the height of the buildings at the north end of the site.
