St Philips Marsh masterplan – first consultation

Our response to the first consultation on a masterplan for the St Philip’s Marsh area, part of the Bristol Temple Quarter Development Framework area.

Insufficient amenity for residents and no retail or workshop uses incorporated in proposals for 88 flats 200 metres off West Street in Bedminster.

We have objected strongly to this large development of 400 student bedrooms and and 437 rental flats between the New Cut and Victoria Park.

Purpose-built Student Accommodation dominates proposals for the development of the Albert Road site.

We recognise the benefits that the Frome Gateway Riverside Park flood resilience scheme is trying to achieve.

We support this Temple Gate site proposal which retains and upgrades the existing light industrial buildings.

We support the proposed Ransom House reuse and expansion option but this is a lost opportunity to create a permanent community in the city.

We cannot support this application in its current form. The overall impression is now one of a large Victorian workhouse.

We support proposals to bring this building back into use, but we object to the proposals in their present form.

An opportunity missed to replace an incongruous building with something that is worthy of its location in the historic core of the city.

Proposal by London developer, CKC Properties, for mixed use purpose-built student accommodation in the regeneration area of St Philips Marsh.

We comment on the Filwood and Verona House section of the Atlas Place redevelopment masterplan.
