Our Annual Environmental Awards Ceremony was held at the City Museum. The awards were presented by Simon Birch, BCS Chair designate and Charles Fox, our awards organiser.
To most Bristolians the MV Balmoral seems a permanent feature in the docks opposite M-Shed. But, as Dave Bassett explained, unless the Waverley and Steam Navigation Company Limited can raise £350,000 the MV Balmoral will disappear from the Avon.
Melvin Wood, a civil engineer from the Environment Agency gave a most informative talk about Bristol’s rivers and associated flood risks.
