Cycle to St James’ Church, Sun 30 March 2014

A cycle ride to St James’ Church, Cameley, east of Chew Valley Lake. St James’ is an unpretentious and delightful church, which escaped major restoration in Victorian times and remains an unspoilt gem. It was described by Betjeman as ‘Rip Van Winkle’s Church’ – asleep for centuries and virtually untouched.

For more information on the church, see here.
