This popular and prestigious event has been held for over 25 years and celebrates the very best of new developments in Bristol. This year, we have three diverse winners and we are holding the event – in person, not online – in an unusual and interesting space.
As a consequence of the change to CIO status, we will not be having a formal AGM until February 2027 so this event will begin with a short overview of the Society’s activities over the last 18 months, and of course the opportunity to ask questions.
The Bristol Civic Society Design Awards scheme is the city’s premiere celebration of good design, and one that is truly independent, free of industry connections.
To qualify, schemes must be visible from public viewpoints, make a positive contribution to the city of Bristol, and have been completed during 2025.
This year we are holding the event, with the kind cooperation of the owners, in the new Welcome Building in Temple Quarter.
It will take place in the atrium – enter by the main doors and the (somewhat unconventional) seating area is in front of you. On arrival, wine, soft drinks and perhaps some nibbles will be available (free, but donation requested for the wine).
When and where: on Tuesday 7 July, arrive at or after 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start, at the Welcome Building, Avon Street, BS2 0PS
