Annual General Meeting and Summer Social: 24th June 2025

Members and friends are warmly invited to attend the 2025 Annual General Meeting, which will be held from 6.30pm at ‘The Mount Without’ (formerly the Church of St Michael on the Mount Without), St Michael’s Hill, Bristol BS2 8DT, which has once again been generously made available to us by the owner, Norman Routledge.

This year, we are combining it with our Summer Social – appropriately, as 24 June is the official Midsummer Day – so we hope you will be able to stay on after the formal business. There will be some live music and the chance to sit out in the grounds and, weather permitting, enjoy the long summer evening.

  • From 6.30pm in the crypt: the Summer Social, with drinks and snacks, some live music, and an opportunity to look round. Pay bar – contactless only, no cash; free buffet food provided.
  • 7.30pm: Annual General Meeting to be opened by the Rt Honourable Lord Mayor of Bristol and Patron of the Society, Councillor Henry Michallat.
  • 8.15 (approx) till 10.00pm Summer Social resumes.

The Agenda, which will be available at the meeting and posted on the website beforehand, will include the usual AGM business: our Annual Report and Finance Report (as a written document this year), elections and any other matters related to the governance of the Society.
