Bristol Royal Infirmary – new extension

Cardiology Research Unit The University Hospitals Bristol (UHB) proposes to build a Cardiology Research Unit (CRU) at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The new building will connect to the Heart Institute in Cottage Place. The image shows the proposed building looking down Marlborough Hill. The Society supports the development which will provide new research offices and laboratory space for the Bristol Heart Institute to become a major centre for the study and practice of cardiac surgery in the UK. We would welcome the planting of new trees in the local area to replace the loss of tree cover from this site.

  1. I live on Marlborough Hill place. My neighbours and I were not informed of this decision. We normally receive a letter through the post. Why were we not told.
I have now missed the deadline to complain.
Do you know the correct procedure in cases like this.
The council website is curently out of service (25th July)so I cannot check the detials of the plans.

  2. You can make a comment on the planning application (19/02729/F) even though the official deadline has passed.
