Ashton Court Mansion: Sept 2020 update

At last we have a clear decision on the future of Ashton Court Mansion. Bristol City Council has decided to establish a Partnership Board in order to identify a vision for the future and to work out how best to take forward implementation of that vision.

Instead of disposing of a long lease (as happened at King’s Weston House), Ashton Court Mansion will remain part of the City Council.

The Society is pleased that a firm decision has been made but is mindful that it is now nearly 3 years since the Mansion closed for weddings and other events. A period of positive action is urgently needed.

The Partnership Board is due to meet for the first time in October.
