Core strategy
The core strategy is the overall approach for planning development in Bristol. It guides development and growth and sets out the key elements of the planning framework for Bristol up till 2026 and beyond. All other planning policies produced have to be written to fit in with the core strategy

Joint Local Access Forum
The JLAF has been established through a partnership between Bath & North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council and South Gloucestershire Council to provide independent advice on matters associated with public access to land. These are the 'partnership councils'.
