How to add a codicil to an existing will

If you have already made a will and wish to amend it to include a gift of a fixed sum of money to Bristol Civic Society, you may want to write your own simple codicil, using the form below.

This is the ……………. [first/second/other]codicil to my last will dated ……….

  1. I give the sum of …………………………. pounds to Bristol Civic Society (charity No. 244414) free of tax, and I direct that a written receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer of Bristol Civic Society shall be a complete discharge to my Executors..

  2. In all other aspects I confirm my will (and codicil/s).
