Planning Application 10/03020/F SU3,4 Quakers Friars, BS1 3BU
The 'picture' in the first floor window is too big and brash and is not appropriate for a conservation area. It neither preserves nor enhances the conservation area and we ask that it is refused.

Planning Application 10/03279/LA 73 Queens Road, BS8 1QP
The aim of the lighting here should be for something subtle; the LED is too bright, particularly in a conservation area. Queens Road is architecturally almost complete and does not require high impact advertising.

Planning Application 10/03178/F The Paragon, Counterslip Road, BS1 6BX
It is accepted that these antennae are on the roof of the building and not visible from the street. However, they do constitute a material change to a building which has architectural merit. There are other viewpoints from which the antennae will be very visible.

Planning Application 10/03332/F Clifton Down Road, BS8
The siting of this pole is unfortunate, sitting as it will in front of the main entrance to Christchurch, Clifton. Surely a less sensitive location could be found.

Planning Application 10/03300/F Hotwell Road/Anchor Road roundabout
The society is concerned that the view so carefully retained, from Jacob's Wells Road to the ss Great Britain, will be compromised by the erection of this communications pole. We ask that this should be taken into account when considering this application.
